D214 School Update
District 214 had originally sent an email detailing that due to COVID-19 it would allow students to have the flexibility to have their learning experience online or in-person. Following the week before school, the district sent out an email detailing that there would be no in-person classes and the schedule would be changed for all six high schools in the district.
“Other students will be instructed remotely, with our teachers live-streaming [Zoom] lessons from their classrooms,” Superintendent David R. Schuler stated.
Schools so far will remain closed and only have scheduled days for picking up items. The district, so far, has not given any other recent updates and as far as the Pacer Staff knows, there is no scheduled date to return in person. During this pandemic, students and staff currently know that e-learning will be in full effect until further notice.
“We will take it one day, one week and one month at a time,” Schuler said. “Thank you for your patience as we work through this together.”
