COVID-19 Update for the first week of March
As of Mar. 2, 2021, there have been a reported 1,189,416 total cases, according to the Illinois Department of Public Health (IDPH). As for reported cases for Mar. 2 2021, there has been a total of 1,577 new cases. The current recovery rate still remains at 98%, as well as Illinois being in stage 4 mitigation.
Additionally, there has been a total of 2,817, 892 doses administered as of Mar. 2. According to the data on the IDPH website, the average amount of vaccines being administered in a 7-day rolling average is calculated to be 80,416 vaccines. Currently, with these numbers, there is only 6.80% of the population vaccinated. 866,132 people have been fully vaccinated out of a total population of 12,741,080, according to the IDPH.
