After closing their fall play last week, Meadows Theatre is already starting their next production: the Radio Play. This year students have adapted the novel Frankenstein by Mary Shelley. For the last couple of weeks, they’ve worked to split up chapters and adapt the long, dense, novel into a script. Auditions are this Friday, October 24th.
In the last few years, the radio play has been a live event, where audience members sat in either the theater or blackbox theater to watch the students speak their lines into mics. This year, however, the performance will be prerecorded, and those interested in viewing will be able to pull into the RMHS parking lot and tune to a specific radio station in order to hear the show.
If you are interested in voice acting in this production, join the Meadows Theatre Schoology page(access code: GXZP-KRC2-77D9G) and wait for updates from the theater teacher and sponsor, Stephanie Svarz. Students can also get involved by joining tech crew and helping create the background sounds to make the production complete. Frankenstein will be a show full of tense moments, compelling questions, and incredible acting. Don’t miss it!
